The origins of Sinotruk Wangpai date back to March 1987, when Huayingshan State-owned Great Wall Machinery Factory and Mimu Town Agricultural Machinery Station jointly established the "State-owned Great Wall Machinery Factory Chengdu Branch" — the earliest precursor to Sinotruk Wangpai.
